High School Diploma Equivalency Required Documents

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA EQUIVALENCY

*Documents Required from Students of All Countries
 
1. Original Diploma: If the country is a party to the Apostille Convention then the diploma must have an Apostille, If it is not a party then the diploma must bear the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate.
2. A Notarized Turkish Translation of the Diploma or a Translation Approved by Turkish Consulates abroad.
3. Original Annual Transcripts (covering the last 3 or 4 years).
4. The Original Passport must be scanned and uploaded to the equivalency system. A notarized translation or a translation approved by Turkish Consulates is required
5. The Original Residence Permit (both sides of the card must be scanned).
6. The Original Visa (if located on the pages of the passport).
7. Entry-Exit Pages (the pages within the passport showing entry and exit stamps).
*8. Entry-Exit Document(s) from/to Turkey: A document obtained from border gates within Turkish territory. The duration covered by this document must span from the year the student began their high school education to the present day.

Example: A student who started high school in their home country in "2021" must provide this document, covering the period from "01.01.2021" to the present day.
 

*Additional Documents

From Students who studied in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan or Ukraine:

An entry-exit document covering their entire life, obtained from the border crossing authorities in their respective countries, along with its notarized Turkish translation.
 


Conflict Zone Countries (Palestine, Ukraine etc.):

*The documents of students coming from conflict zones are sent to the Ministry of National Education by the Provincial Directorate of National Education for approval
 
— A signed and sealed letter obtained from the Ministry of Education in their home country or their country's consulate in Turkey, stating: "The student named [Name] has received face-to-face education at [School Name] and is eligible to study at any higher education institution with this diploma".
 


From students who studied in Guinea, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan and Arabian countries:


— The exit stamp from their country (located on the inner pages of their passport).
 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: High school diploma equivalency applications are handled by our International Relations Coordination Office. We kindly request that you bring the required documents to us immediately after you receive your "Residence Permit".

Students who have an E-Devlet password can submit their equivalency application by uploading the required documents in PDF format to the Provincial Directorate of National Education’s portal at "https://edenklik.meb.gov.tr/". After uploading, they can schedule an appointment to present the physical copies of their documents to the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
