Application Period of Preferences for International Students: 25-27 September 2024 (until Turkish Time Zone 17:00) 

Application Criteria

a) All applications will be accepted and evaluated on condition that the applicants have either graduated or are in the final year of secondary education (high school, senior high school, lycee, gymnasia, middle school, college, vocational school etc.)  and who:

1.  have foreign nationality, (on the condition that those who study in secondary school (high school) registered before 2022-2023 school year [except the foreigners who come to our country with the project which is carried out by embassy schools, International private institutions that are in the MOBIS system and Ministry of National Education]

2. have Turkish citizenship by birth but have expatriated themselves from Turkish citizenship with the permission of the Ministry of Interior, and their underage children registered on these people’s citizenship expatriation document, providing evidence of ownership of the Document Concerning the Use of Given Rights in accordance with Turkish Citizenship Law (Turkish Citizenship Law with number 5901, clause 7 comprises the following statement: “(1) Child born from a Turkish citizen mother or father in a conjugal union inside or outside of Türkiye is a Turkish citizen.” It should be beneficial for candidates who will apply to abroad acceptance quota to examine the Turkish Citizenship Law) The pages to visit regarding this issue: http://www.mfa.gov.tr/mavi-kart-_eski-pembe-kart_-uygulamasi-.tr.mfa http://www.resmigazete.gov.tr/eskiler/2009/06/20090612-1.htm )

3. gain citizenship of Turkish Republic later from a foreign citizenship / hold double citizenship in this case (on the condition that those who study in secondary school (high school) registered before 2022-2023 school year)

4. have Turkish citizensip but completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country, except for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (including those who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) at Turkish schools established abroad under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education).

5. hold Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizenship, reside in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and completed their secondary education in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus having GCE AL examination results and enrolled and had their secondary education at colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005 and 2010 having GCE AL examination results or will possibly have one of these results.



b) Applications for the following individuals will not be accepted. The applicants who;

1. hold Turkish Citizenship and completed all of the secondary education in Türkiye or Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,

2. hold Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizenship (except the ones who completed their secondary education in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus secondary schools having GCE AL examination results and the ones who enrolled and had education at college and high schools in other countries between 2005 and 2010 having GCE AL scores or will possibly have one of these results),

3. hold double citizenships, first of which is Turkish citizenship with birth which is defined at the article a act 2 (except the ones who fulfil the conditions in the article a and act 4),

4. hold double citizenships, one of which is Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizenship (except the ones who completed their secondary education in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus having GCE AL examination results and the ones who completed their secondary education at college and high schools in other countries between 2005 and 2010 having GCE AL scores or will possibly have one of these results),

5. hold Turkish citizenship or double citizenships first of which is Turkish citizenship with birth which is defined at the ithe article a act 2 and graduated from secondary schools as a part of the embassies in Türkiye or at foreign secondary schools in Türkiye
 
6. will register at secondary schools in Türkiye as of 2022-2023 school year (valid for those who: are foreigners, hold Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizenship, have expatriated themselves from Turkish citizenship/Blue Card owners) [except the foreigners who come to our country with the project which is carried out by embassy schools, International private institutions that are in the MOBIS system and Ministry of National Education].



Application Procedures

1. Applications are made within the dates specified in the announcement as online. Candidates are required to upload the necessary documents to the application website. 

2. Applications with missing documents will not be processed.

3. Any application of candidates, who make more than one application in the same application period and make different preferences in each application, is not taken into consideration. For applicants, whose preferences are the same but in  different orders, the first application they have made will be evaluated.

4. Exams as secondary school graduation has no time limitation while exams as university entrance examination are valid for 2 (two) years.
 
5. The ones who have registered in 2024-2025 academic year cannot apply for Additional Placements.

Required Application Documents

1. The copy of secondary education diploma or an official document stating the upcoming graduation date issued by their school for applicants who have not graduated yet (and its translated copy in Turkish or English, approved by a Notary Office or Embassy / Consulates of Republic of Türkiye),

If your exam documents is your graduation certificate: You should either upload your equivalency certificate or the original examination result form taken as a basis in placements and showing the score and its Turkish or English translation, approved by a Notary Office or Embassy / Consulates of Republic of Türkiye. All the documents taken abroad are to be either Apostilled or approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.) If this confirmation stamp is behind your document, you have to upload the backside as well.

2. The copy of the document indicating the graduation grade point average (GPA) and its Turkish or English translation, approved by a Notary Office or Embassy / Consulates of Republic of Türkiye,

3. The copy of the passport,

4. 1 passport photo,

5. The copy of the examination result form and its Turkish or English translation, approved by a Notary Office or Embassy / Consulates of Republic of Türkiye, (Accepted examination scores)

The original examination result form taken as a basis in placements and showing the score and its Turkish or English translation, approved by a Notary Office or Embassy / Consulates of Republic of Türkiye. All the documents taken abroad are to be either Apostilled or approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.) 6. The document for the applicants who have Turkish citizenship by birth but have expatriated themselves from Turkish citizenship with the permission of the Ministry of Interior and and their underage children registered on these people’s citizenship expatriation document, providing evidence of ownership of the Document Concerning the Use of Given Rights in accordance with Turkish Citizenship Law  number 5203

7. Certificate of identity register showing the date of obtaining Turkish citizenship for the applicants (holding double citizenship) who were foreign nationals at birth and later became Turkish citizens,

8. Certificate of “Name Equivalency” for the applicants who have double names,

9. The "Entry/Exit Document" covering the period of secondary education for the citizens of Turkish Republic who have completed their secondary education abroad,  (Those who have dual nationality are also obliged to submit the "Entry/Exit Document" for their other citizenships.)
